Announcing PEIA: West Africa's First Fully Integrated Eco-Industrial SEZ

Eco-Industrial Park (Agro-Processing & Manufacturing) · €180M+ (Phase 1 of 1,000 ha)

Opportunity Overview

Details

The Plateforme Économique Industrielle d'Abidjan (PEIA) - formerly the Zone Industrielle Commune (ZIC) - is a landmark public-private partnership between the Government of Côte d'Ivoire and pan-African industrial developer Arise IIP, and one of the flagship projects the Chamber's delegation engaged with at the 11th World FZO World Congress.

Sited at PK-24, Akoupé-Zeudji, roughly 24km from Abidjan, PEIA is planned across 1,000 hectares in total, with an initial 431-hectare phase already under construction on an investment exceeding €180 million (about CFA 120 billion). Once built out, the platform is designed to host around 55 companies and create more than 10,000 direct jobs across agro-processing (cashew, rubber, cassava and shea), construction materials, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and logistics.

Positioned on the Lomé-Ouagadougou industrial corridor, PEIA gives investors direct road access to landlocked ECOWAS and Sahel markets alongside Côte d'Ivoire's own deep-water port infrastructure - pairing coastal logistics with a gateway into the region's interior.

The Chamber is inviting members and partners to explore co-location, supply-chain and anchor-tenant opportunities as PEIA's first phase comes online.
